Shekk'er: a guide

Welcome to my Shekk'er page!

Shekk'er (pronounced Shek-ker) sometimes called Sekk'er, is an ancient religion that originated in what is now modern Iran. The word Shekk'er is a word in the ancient Zavalan language.

Shekk'er can be loosely translated into English as "Unquestionable truth". It's literal meaning is "that which is never questioned".

The foundations of the Shekk'erian faith lie in the quest for the unquestionable truth, the element of which lies in the heart of every man and at the core of every religious belief.

It is the purity of truth that allows each and every man to find his or her place in the world and puts mankind in balance with the universe.

We are all born ready to receive the Shekk'er but we may lose our way if we don't follow the teachings.

The Shekk'erian way of life advocates strict vegetarianism, peacefulness and regular meditation for it is said that the unquestionable truth needs not cause harm to exist.

Shekk'erian (or sekk'erian) faith in its current form has existed for over a thousand years and its roots are as old as history itself. Still is remains virtually unknown to many people. It has no sacred text and is based only on an oral tradition passed down throughout the generations from the mouth of the Prophet Zandum (or Zanduk) himself to the Rams or "truthful ones".  Of the True Shekk'erians there are around 20,000 souls in the world today. These are thought to be direct descendants of the original Shekk'erians. The majority of these are based in Iran but some tribes exist as far as Yemen and there are even rumours of a few tribes existing in North Africa.  There are also small congregations in the USA, UK and elsewhere in Europe.
It is hard to say how many followers there are in total as the Great Reform initiated by Ram Zafran Kefir meant that conversion to the Shekk'erian faith is now generally acceptable. Recent years have seen many westerners embrace the Shekk'er and its doctrines.

I hope you will find my page useful and enlightening.

may your path to the Shekk'er be without pain or harm as is the way it was intended.
